Art is a wonderful thing! It can inspire one to greatness, communicate powerful emotions, or move people in the most difficult way -- compelling them to sit still and simply "be".

I love sitting in a museum and looking at artwork  produced over the centuries (like my son Landon is doing here in Paris.)  Magnificent paintings stir the soul.  They cause me to ooooh and aaahhh, and this is good for me - it wakes me up.   Art is such a "gift."  I remain amazed at what artists do, and if it were not for those great paintings and stories of people that were recorded, not only would much of our visual past be lost, but the whole medium of paint and canvas would not be what it is today.   Every decade which passes brings more amazing art.  It seems we all feed off each other and inspire each other to greatness.
